    Access Services

    Access Services is your point of contact for borrowing and use of Libraries materials. We handle issues such as bills and fines, interlibrary loan pickup, circulation, notification for overdues, recalls, and courtesy reminders of forthcoming overdues, request delivery, recalls, and renewals.

    The Acquisitions Department is responsible for acquiring books, journals and electronic resources, including databases, digital collections and other non-print materials for the Libraries. We make sure you have the materials you need for your research journey.

    Administration

    The Office of the Dean manages the operations, finances, and employees of multiple libraries, archives, and other locations on the Bloomington campus of Indiana University. We promote student success and faculty research in all subject areas.

    ALF Internal Processing

    Our team is responsible for the transportation of materials and processing of records to prepare items for long term storage in the Auxiliary Library Facility on the Bloomington campus.

    The Arts & Humanities Department develops and maintains the Libraries’ world-class research collections in the arts and humanities and related subjects. We connect faculty and students with these collections through instruction, reference and research services, and engagement and outreach.

    Our team designs and conducts internal research initiatives on the impact of IU Libraries collections to better serve our patrons.

    Auxiliary Library Facility (ALF) Services

    Our team at the Ruth Lilly Auxiliary Library Facility (ALF) protects and preserves materials from the Libraries' collections in a secure, climate-controlled repository to ensure their availability for researchers today and in the future.
