About Us
The Discovery and User Experience (DUX) department manages the web tools that connect students and faculty with the expert librarians and world-class collections of IU Bloomington Libraries.
Our portfolio includes the Libraries website, the Lilly Library website, IUCAT, the OneSearch@IU discovery tool, and the Libraries blog. We provide responsive technical support, data analysis, and content strategy for our colleagues in IU Libraries.
The DUX team also designs and tests the Libraries website to ensure accessibility and reliability. We are dedicated to providing all members of the university community with dynamic and effective research experiences, and we conduct periodic user testing to better understand the needs of our users.
We invite all library users, from beginning researchers to subject specialists, to take part in our user testing and help us improve your online experiences with IU Libraries.
Students and faculty: sign up to help us make your research experience even better!
IU Libraries faculty and staff can visit us during DUX virtual office hours. Tuesdays, 1-2pm. Thursdays, 10-11am.
Libraries faculty and staff can receive messages about the Libraries website, IUCAT, and the Libraries blogs site.
