Leanne Nay is IU’s Creative Technologies Librarian. As part of the Scholars’ Commons Department, her research interests include gender imbalance in makerspaces and creativity and play in libraries. Her recent projects include developing the Wells Library Makerspace and working with colleagues at the University of Illinois to develop a train-the-trainer program for the HathiTrust Research Center. Leanne is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Information and Library Science and a faculty champion for the Center of Excellence for Women and Technology 3D Printing and Design Team.

Leanne frequently speaks and leads workshops on topics related to technology and libraries, having presented at venues such as The Collective, Digital Library Federation Forum, and Makerspaces for Research and Innovation in Academics. Prior to joining the IU Libraries, she worked as the Digital Literacy Librarian in the Martin County (FL) Library System. She received her Master of Library Science from IU in 2014, and also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from Chapman University.
