2024 Open Educator of the Year
Gabrielle Stecher, Ph.D., was named the 2024 Open Educator of the Year. This honor is awarded annually to an IU Bloomington faculty member for their outstanding contributions to open education, measured by the resulting cost savings for students and the broader educational influence.
IU is safeguard for America's Black history
Personal papers and recordings from both well-known and unsung African Americans are being digitally preserved at IU under an agreement between IU Libraries, UITS, and The HistoryMakers, a national non-profit organization that has grown to be the nation’s largest African American video oral history archive, and is dedicated to documenting African American life, history and culture.
Students seek wellness at Wells Library
A student-focused partnership between IU Libraries and the IU School of Social Work gave students one more reason to visit the iconic Herman B Wells Library this academic year. Private wellness sessions led by advanced social work students use peer coaching methods to address issues of social isolation, stress, sleeping habits, time management, budgeting, and more.
