Washington's Birthday or Presidents' Day?

Happy Holiday!

February 19th celebrates Washington's Birthday, also known as Presidents' Day!

According to Merriam-Webster, the federal name for this holiday is Washington's Birthday but many states refer to it as Presidents' Day to honor all presidents.

GIMMS is celebrating this holiday with a special give-away! The first three patrons to mention this holiday (in whichever name you prefer) at the Government Information, Maps, and Microforms Department desk, on the 2nd floor East tower in Wells Library, will win the "Continental Soldier in the War for American Independence" poster from the U.S. Government Bookstore thanks to GPO!
