Digital Scholarship

We are happy to assist IU Bloomington faculty and researchers with a variety of forms of new scholarship. The range of assistance we can provide varies depending on the needs of the specific project, from consultation to assistance with digital production, scanning, data management, and publishing.

Digital Preservation

Digital preservation services provided by the Libraries include file and media migration, file format recommendations, and overall project guidance.

Digital Scholarship Services

We can advise or assist faculty and researchers interested in the creation, enhancement, or publication of online collections, exhibits or digital projects.

Digitization and Archival-Quality Scanning

We can provide researchers and faculty with advice and/or assistance for archival-quality scanning and digitization of print materials, and with management/migration of born-digital objects.

Scholars' Commons: Consulting, Digitization, Research Support

The Scholars' Commons provides specialized services in spaces designed to support scholarship and learning.

Library Publishing

The Indiana University Libraries provide services to help the IU community disseminate the results of their research. These include open access journal publishing and the IUScholarWorks repository.

Scholars' Commons Digitization Lab

The Scholars' Commons Digitization Lab is a high-end multimedia, multidisciplinary self-service lab dedicated to the digital conversion of materials, and the management and migration of born-digital objects in support of research needs and interests of Indiana University Bloomington's faculty and students.

Data Services

The IU Libraries provide assistance to researchers working with data in all stages of the research life cycle, including: collecting, processing, analyzing, publishing, and preparing data for long-term access and storage.
