Engraving of a glacier in the Alps, with small human figures in the foreground.

On the occasion of the conference of the same name sponsored by the Consortium for the Study of Religion, Ethics, and Society, the Lilly Library presents "Wonder and the Natural World," an exhibition of books devoted to describing, understanding, and honoring the wondrous. In works published from the seventeenth to the twentieth century, we see scientists, poets, and people of faith respond to the beauty and mystery of nature.
