Wylie House Museum's Academic Support & Instructional Services

We welcome and support  Wylie House Museum's integration into IU courses through class tours, instructional sessions, collections research, fine arts inspiration, and more. The museum is used by multiple disciplines in a variety of ways.

Many classes leverage Wylie House Museum for immersive place-based learning, to introduce primary sources, or to conduct historical research. Others visit to inspire creativity, study material culture, or engage in interpretation and curatorial activities.

Experiential learning courses, semester-long site study, and course research projects are possible. Six month minimum notice is required.

Museum staff are available to discuss your ideas, support your course goals, and welcome your students. Advanced notice is required for all course visits. Please reach out to us as early as possible to schedule.

Required fields are marked with an asterisk.

To schedule a time to discuss your course needs with the museum’s director-librarian, Carey Champion, you may email her directly at crchamp@iu.edu or use this form.
