Wylie House Museum is the historic 1835 home of the first president of IU, Andrew Wylie. The museum interprets the lives of Wylie family members and others within the context of Indiana University and U.S. history. The museum offers guided tours, public programming, and supports IU's academic mission through course instruction, tours, and student experiential learning opportunities.
Regular public hours are Wed.-Sat., 10am - 4pm. Free, guided tours begin on the hour every hour, with the last one beginning at 3pm.
Large groups, class visits, and research appointments may be scheduled outside public hours. The museum is closed on major holidays and during Indiana University breaks.

Building Guides
The museum has one accessible parking spot and a ramp to the back door entrance. This historic home's second floor is only accessible by staircase. Photographs and virtual tour options are provided for visitors who cannot visit the second floor.
Unisex public restrooms and water are available next door to the museum in the Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center, a modernized 19th century barn. Staff offices, archival collections, and programming space are also located in the Education Center.
Designated, free Wylie House parking spots are located behind the museum and education center, accessible via the alley. Free, two-hour street parking is located directly in front of the museum on 2nd St.
