There are a variety of ways to use Wylie House Museum as an educational resource. We offer reference-research support, tours, and instructional consultation. Explore our collections page and our digital exhibit and virtual tour platform to learn more about the museum and what we offer.
Class visits and reference-research appointments are available by appointment Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Wylie House is open to the public for tours two days per week, Fridays and Saturdays, 10am-4pm.
The museum's Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center, located next door to the museum, is a modernized 1863 barn. It hosts staff offices, serves as a repository for Wylie family archival collections, and has a large room meeting space. Both the museum and the education center are available by request for alternative academic space use, such as for performances and exhibits. Approval is dependent upon several factors, including space availability and staff discretion, but we welcome your ideas and inquiries.
In addition to reference-research support and instructional services, the museum offers IU students internships, practicums, and part-time employment.
