New Guide to Natural Areas of Southern Indiana Provides Fun and Exploration Tips

Steven Higgs, author of A Guide to Natural Areas of Southern Indiana, the first comprehensive and fully illustrated guidebook for nature lovers who want to explore Indiana by trail, water, or road, will provide ideas for a lifetime of fun and exploration in southern Indiana in a lecture at the Wyle House Museum’s Education Center on October 20th beginning at 7 pm.

Steven Higgs highlights the unique natural characteristics and history of his favorite sites and provides stories about his experiences exploring Indiana.

I cannot imagine the amount of time that went into exploring all these places. Anyone with a general interest in the outdoors, including hikers, birders, campers and fishermen, will find this book [and talk] useful,” said Johnny Molloy, author of Top Trails Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Higgs directs readers to the very best locations in southern Indiana for bird and game watching, fishing and boating, hiking and camping, and more. Read and explore the natural areas that represent southern Indiana wilderness at its pristine best.

Steven Higgs is an award winning environmental writer and photographer and author of Eternal Vigilance: Nine Tales of Environmental Heroism in Indiana.
