Wounded Galaxies '68 Cinematheque

February 9th 2018 @ 10:45am
Libraries Screening Room
Wells Library, 048

Join us for an opportunity to see a special screening of 16mm films from the IU Libraries Moving Image Archive educational film collection. These films represent the spirit of art, protest, and social change around 1968, highlighted in this year's Wounded Galaxies Festival and Symposium. The program will confront you with Martin Sostre's fight against a crooked police force and an unjust judicial system. It will immerse you in the surreal imagination of Carson Davidson, provide an educational how-to guide for public protest, and warn of the perils of conformity in two amusing motion picture shorts.

Two screenings at 10:45 AM and 1:00 PM.
