What libraries will be open during intersession?

Some library spaces across campus will be open or have librarians, resources, or services available during intersession. View hours for Wells Library and all other IU Libraries during intersession. If you want to check out physical items, use IUCAT to request items be sent to a library that is open during a time that is convenient for you to come check them out. We also continue to have an expanded selection of e-books available using your IU credentials from anywhere in the world!

How can I use library spaces during intersession?

We'll continue to use our space reservation system to make library rooms, tabletop seating, casual seating, and desktop computers, available safely. Browse all spaces available for reservation across all campus libraries or learn step-by-step how to make a reservation. In Wells Library, only spaces on the first floor in the Learning Commons and Scholars Commons will be available for reservation during intersession.

When using library spaces, you must abide by campus health and safety regulations as outlined in the Student Commitment Form or Community Responsibility AcknowledgementLibraries staff will enforce these health standards. If you do not comply with Libraries’ staff requests to wear a mask and physically distance, you will be asked to leave the building. The Libraries do not allow eating or drinking and you will not be allowed to use a space to eat or drink. Please bring your own sanitation supplies.

Our Healthy Operations Support Team (HOSTs) will be staffing Wells Library during intersession.
