Welcome our new Education Librarian
Christina Jones has accepted a two-year Visiting Librarian position as the Education Librarian and Head of the Education Library. Christina holds an MLS and an MS in Secondary Education from IU Bloomington and undergraduate degrees in English and Theater Arts from the University of Southern Indiana.
After 18 years as a Community Engagement Librarian at Monroe County Public Library, IU Libraries hired Christina last year to fill the role of Professional Instructional Associate at the Business/SPEA Library. In that position, she created instructional videos, produced library research guides, taught library instruction sessions and conducted research consultations for Kelley and O’Neill faculty and students.
Christina has also served as an adjunct professor at both IUPUI and IU, teaching a variety of courses such as Storytelling, Materials for Youth, Youth Services, and Early Literacy Services. Her combination of education and experience are well-suited to advance the Libraries' role and efforts with the School of Education.
Please welcome Christina to the Education Library!
