Washington Post Online: Change to Academic Access

December 19th 2017

Effective January 1 2018, the Washington Post will discontinue their unlimited complimentary access to their content via washingtonpost.com or via apps for users with an .edu email address. Students, faculty, and staff are eligible to purchase individual subscriptions to the Washington Post at a discounted academic rate. Those with a valid .gov or .mil email address can still enjoy full access at this time.

The Libraries continue to provide full-text access to the content of the Washington Post; Nexis Uni, Newspaper Source Plus, Factiva, and other databases include articles up to the present day. Factiva allows you to browse articles by section (e.g. front page, A-section, editorial). Use IUCAT for the most convenient access, and find additional help locating various versions of the newspaper in our Major U.S. Newspapers Resource Guide.
