Course reserves include physical materials such as books and media items that instructors have asked IU Libraries to set aside, or reserve, to ensure that their students have access to those materials. Reserved materials are subject to restricted circulation policies and must be accessed in person at one of the campus locations.

Reserve Locations
Herman B Wells Library
Students can access course reserve materials in two locations within Wells:
- Print Reserves: Learning Commons Service Desk (First Floor, West Tower)
- Media Reserves: Media Services department (Ground Floor)
Other Campus Libraries
Students can access course reserve materials at the circulation desks of most other campus libraries, including:
- Education Library
- Music Library
- Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center Library
