This session will focus on using the twittR package for R to scrape tweets. Then we will create a wordcloud of most commonly used terms and a sentiment graph mining opinions of the tweets.

Prerequisites:

  • You will need a Karst (computing) account. Instructions for setup are available via this KB document.  
  • If you want to do your own twitter searches, set up OAuth prior to the session by following this R-bloggers tutorial
