Support & Giving
Research. Engagement. Information. Community.
"The people of IU Libraries inspire and empower students and faculty to excel in innovative research and creative activity, outstanding teaching and publishing, and deep, reflective learning." This is the guiding mission of Indiana University Libraries. Donors help us make that mission statement a reality every day with lively engagement, valued relationships, in-kind gifts, and monetary donations, big and small.
Indiana University Libraries is essential to the work of IU. It is the space where information is stored, accessed, and retrieved. That information is vital to the health of each scholar’s journey on campus, whether an undergraduate, graduate, professor, or visiting scholar. Philanthropy is an essential component to meet our goals. Donations help fund our scholarships for students, our librarians who teach and help those students, and our collections – both digital and physical – that provide opportunities and growth for those students.
There are many different ways to give to IU Libraries. You can give a monthly donation or an annual contribution. There are gifts fulfilling a pledge or one-time only "just because" gifts. In addition, you can do estate gifts or gifts of securities.
