About
As Assistant Acquiring Editor at the IU Press, Sophia assists Acquiring Editors Bethany Mowry and Allison Chaplin.
Sophia's writing (fiction, poetry, scholarly essay) was published in numerous on-campus journals and magazines at Ithaca College. Her current research interests lie in gender studies, queer studies, disability studies, and literary criticism. These are all areas of acquisitions that she hopes to have in the future.
Sophia is a graduate of Ithaca College, where she earned a B.A. in English in May 2019 with minors in Deaf Studies and in Writing. Originally from Connecticut, she joined IU Press at the end of 2019 and has been a Hoosier ever since.
