The Wylie House Seed Library pilot program opened in 2016 and has found a solid foot-hold in the campus and local communities. The museum is delighted to offer heirloom seed varieties from our gardens to be "checked out," grown, and then "returned." How does it work?!

After filling out a Membership Form, one package of easy-to-save seeds like lettuce, peas, beans, peppers or tomatoes may be checked out. Handouts with seed saving tips are available, as well as the opportunity to sign up for up-coming educational workshops. Grow the seeds, enjoy some fresh vegetables and save seeds from the best plants. Keep some of the seeds for future use, plus return a few seeds to the Wylie House Seed Library to help keep the library well stocked.

The Seed Library is located on the main floor of the Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center at 317 E. 2nd Street in Bloomington, IN. Hours are from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday, same as the museum hours.
