The Wylie House Seed Library pilot program opened in 2016 and received an engaging welcome in the campus and local communities. The museum offered heirloom seed varieties from our gardens to be "checked out," grown, and then "returned."  Currently, the seed library is on hold while we renew our historic gardens, convert some beds to native plant species, and rebuild our seed stores after the pandemic. In addition, the museum is working to establish itself as a reference-resource for  heirloom plants and seeds in the state of Indiana. Check back in to see our efforts to document seed savers and providers, as well as heirloom plant stories and histories. *Other seed libraries in the region can be found at the Monroe County Public Library and SEED Brown County.
