Scholarly Communication
About Us
The Scholarly Communication Department at IU Bloomington Libraries provides infrastructure and services to support the IU community in creating, sharing, and preserving their scholarly work. We believe that equitable access to data, research, and information is foundational to the production of knowledge, and are dedicated to supporting this principle within the IU community.
Across all IU regional campuses, we support Open Scholarship with impact/metrics consultations, data management services, an open journals publishing platform, OER consultations, and a publishing service for texts not publishable by scholarly or commercial presses. We also manage three repositories: IUScholarWorks, IUScholarWorks Open, and IU Data Core.
For IU Bloomington affiliates, our department offers assistance with open access policy compliance and funding for open access publishing.
