Data support is available to IU researchers across disciplines and expertise level, whether working individually, in a lab or department, or as part of coursework.
In order to accommodate the variety of research data needs across campus, the Research Data Services department offers different degrees of assistance.
- Consultations: These are best for individuals or groups looking for an hour or two of support, and are tailored for specific project needs at any stage of the research lifecycle.
- Workshops: We can develop customized instruction for classes, departments, labs, or centers with sufficient notice (~4 weeks). We also offer several standard workshops (e.g., Data management best practices; GIS tools; and Data cleaning in R or Python) that can be requested at any time.
- Partnerships: We can partner with researchers on long-term projects, such as grant-funded efforts, which are handled on a case-by-case basis.
