Predatory publishers prey on scholars by charging them a fee to publish or present their work. Publishing with a predatory publisher can be expensive but also career damaging. For this session, library experts will help graduate students from all departments differentiate between predatory and legitimate publishers. We will discuss strategies for assessing publication venues and tactics for selecting the right publisher for your scholarship.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Presented by Sarah Hare and Jenny Hoops
