IU Celebrates 2024 Open Access Week

October 21-27, 2024 is an international recognition of the impact of Open Access

The annual International Open Access (OA) Week is a great opportunity for the academic and research community to discuss the benefits and challenges of OA, exchange new ideas with colleagues, and work toward better knowledge production systems. This year’s theme  "Community over Commercialization", continues the call to prioritize approaches to open scholarship that serve the best interests of the advancement of research and the academic community.

Across the IU campuses, a number of libraries have joined forces to put together programming with online, asynchronous, and local events in different formats for OA Week this year, highlighting the sub-theme “Centering Equity in Knowledge Production."

Participating libraries for OA Week 2024:

IU Libraries Bloomington Herman B Wells Library  |   IU Indianapolis University Library  |  Ruth Lilly Medical Library  |  IU East Library
