It's a common refrain at this time of year: What did you do over summer vacation? While you traveled, researched, worked, and spent time with family and friends, the Libraries have been busy too! We have been redesigning the home page of our website and refreshing the site's overall look and feel.
Some of you may have participated in a survey we conducted last fall, in which we asked you what tasks you most often wanted to accomplish by using our site. We've taken your feedback to heart and redesigned the home page to be more task-oriented, so that you can more efficiently and easily search for research resources, access our high-quality scholarly databases, and find information about library services and policies.
Highlights of this website refresh include:
- Prominent task bar highlighting frequently used library services and resources, integrated with One.IU task options;
- Enhanced search box which will allow you to quickly direct your search to several commonly-used library applications, including IUCAT;
- Improvements to overall site accessibility and a cleaner, clearer site footer;
- Streamlined design and a new color palette, reflecting new IU brand standards.
We'll be launching this redesign very soon - on Monday August 8th, first thing in the morning - and we're excited to bring you these improvements for the new academic year.
