New Student Orientation activities will be taking place in several locations within the Wells Library through July 20. Public use of some areas will be limited during this time.
- The 2nd floor of the West Tower is open to the public for book retrieval only (no study space/computer use) from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday.
- The 5th floor of the West Tower is closed to the public from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday.
If you are looking for group work space, we recommend the first or fourth floors of the West Tower. The Bookmark[et] Eatery on the ground floor also offers seating during its open hours.
Computer workstations are available on the first floor of both the West and East Towers as well as on the fourth floor of the West Tower.
You can find quiet study space in the Reference Reading Room (first floor of the East Tower), in the Research Collections Stacks (4th through 10th floors of the East Tower), on the third floor of the West Tower, or in the newly-remodeled Moving Image Collections and Archives space, on the ground floor near the Bookmark[et] Cafe. The Wells Library Building and Collections Directory may lead you to other available spaces.
If you have questions or need help finding an appropriate space, ask us!
