New Resource Trial: ANTE: Abstracts in New Technologies and Engineering

Posted by Robert Noel, Sciences Librarian

Until March 2, we are seeking input on a resource we are considering for purchase - ANTE: Abstracts in New Technologies and Engineering.

This resource covers new technologies such as information technology and computing, intelligent systems engineering, data science, informatics, electronics, biotechnology, medical technology, as well as engineering (including construction, electrical and chemical engineering) and allied subject areas.

ANTE is unlike other science databases that focus primarly on scholarly research produced by academics and industry leaders.

Sources covered include over 350 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases.

I initiated this trial because it will most likely offer news and information related to intelligent systems engineering that can't be found in some of the mainstream databases including Academic Search Premier, Web of Science, the ACM Digital Library, or Scopus.
