New email shares special collections stories

The newsletter has rotating headers, with the first one highlighting the IU Libraries Moving Image Archive. Upcoming issues feature archival photos from the Wylie House and University Archives.
This October, IU Bloomington Libraries launched We Saved This for You, an email newsletter from our archives and special collections: the University Archives, IU Libraries Moving Image Archive, Wylie House Museum, Archives of Traditional Music, and IU's general special collections. We plan to send an issue every October, February, and May, with a rotating introduction from one of the archives and special collections, followed by collection spotlights, events, and more. With such active and engaging departments in the Libraries, it can be hard to know about all of the wonderful happenings in our archives and special collections. For that reason, the Library has created this newsletter to gather all the best archival stories for the community in one place.
From an introduction featuring a Coretta Scott King discovery, to a blog highlighting the transformation of Hoosier the Bison, the inaugural newsletter was filled with great content from IU Libraries’ archives and special collections. If you didn’t receive this first issue, worry not! If you subscribe by Thanksgiving, we'll make sure you receive the first issue so you won't have to wait until February for the next one. Make sure to tell your friends, so everyone can stay up-to-date on the happenings of these invaluable institutions!
Stay in the know!
