Area Studies is excited to announce that Mireille Djenno has accepted the position of African Studies Librarian effective September 6. She is currently the Librarian for African, African American and Diaspora Studies, and the Director of the Sonja Haynes Stone Center Library for Black Culture and History at UNC-Chapel Hill. Previously, Mireille was a Reference Librarian at the University of Illinois-Chicago. She holds an MLIS and an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Please join us in welcoming Mireille to the Libraries when she arrives in early September.
