This workshop extends Dr. Wingo’s talk on “A Tale of Two Projects” and explores the different communities these projects form: classroom, campus, and community. All of these were necessary for a successful project. We’ll use an upcoming CRRES community engagement project in Southern Indiana in which to root some of the ethical considerations for digital community engagement. We’ll also workshop a list of best practices for community engagement as we consider what "digital" changes about that type of engagement.
Co-sponsored by the Arts & Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience (ASURE), the Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES), and the Institute for Digital Arts & Humanities (IDAH).
