Lilly Library Summer Closure

The Lilly Library's annual summer closure will take place during the week of July 27, 2026. We will reopen on Monday, August 3.

Our current exhibition, The Declaration of Independence: The Motives, The Moment, will continue until the end of 2026. It will be undergoing a revamp during the first weeks of August, with a reopening on August 17. At that time, it will be joined by The Signers, an exhibition featuring documents signed by each of the 56 signatories of the Declaration, curated by Lilly Library Director Joel Silver.
