About
Jennifer Muse joined IU Libraries as the Visiting Research Services Librarian for Sciences in January, 2025. She earned a master's degree in library science from Emporia State University with a concentration in health information. As a sciences librarian, Jennifer serves as the liaison to the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.
Jennifer’s research interests include Indigenous healing, food sovereignty, wellness, western medicine, health, and the interconnectedness of these areas. As a Fellow of the 2023-2024 Medical Library Association Research Training Institute, she was able to focus intently on this area of research.
A resourceful colleague who enjoys working in dynamic team environments, she seizes opportunities to collaborate across a broad spectrum of university and community stakeholders. Jennifer is passionate about academic libraries and their roles in connecting the campus community with information and each other, and in fostering inclusive research and learning spaces for all. Jennifer seeks to leverage and facilitate partnerships and exercise creativity and flexibility to find solutions. She is confident that she can deliver innovative and meaningful research and learning support across the sciences.
She strives to continually educate herself through immersive travel experiences, reading, and attending events across the campus community. If she hasn’t yet met you, she looks forward to doing so. If she has met you, she’s grateful to you for enriching her life through every interaction.
