Do you ever wonder about the tracks you leave behind as you browse the web? Since so much of our time is spent online, it's good to think critically about the influences of this. We'll discuss different ways websites have of tracking and monitoring you, why every Facebook ad seems to be about something you just discussed with your friends, and how to better educate yourself about the information sharing that companies profit off of. Targeted ads will get special treatment, as their algorithms get more complex every year. We'll also explore the idea of filter bubbles, the way your viewpoint is influenced by the media you surround yourself with.
