What makes a map, a map?
Curated by the Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center at Indiana University, Places & Spaces transcends any one particular display space or medium. Whether you're visiting an installation or their website, this exhibit illuminates the range of possibilities for the visualization of the human experience. From September through December, stop by the exhibit space in the Scholars' Commons (First floor, East tower of Wells Library) to see globes, print maps, digital interactive maps, and a special touchscreen macroscope as part of the Places & Spaces Mapping Science exhibit. Explore topics like the full range of our planet's history back to the big bang, or movie plotlines mapped out- see the characters' progression up until they meet Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars!
If you can't make it to the library, visit the project website to see more.
