On the 8th floor of the Wells Library, IU graduate students now have a dedicated space for quiet study, research, and presentations. With swipe card entry, this space offers a fully wired and wireless environment within a minute's walk to the Libraries' vast physical collections as well as access to the Libraries' expert staff. One of the only public spaces on campus dedicated exclusively to graduate students and designed with their input, the Grad Commons continues the IU Libraries' long tradition of evolving to meet user needs and providing excellent service. The inaugural event--a GPSO orientation presentation--took place in the commons earlier this fall though the official opening will take place in early October.
