Drive-up Book Drops Open

A no-contact way to return materials to IU Libraries

In the month of May alone hardworking Circulation team members processed more than 2,500 returned books at the Herman B Wells Library.

IU Libraries will waive any fines charged for any materials currently due.  This means that students, faculty, and staff should not feel compelled to visit campus to return materials.  External book drops are still available for anyone that wishes to drop off materials.

Two drive-up book drops are offered on the south side of the Herman B Wells Library and will accept all IU Libraries materials from any branch or Bloomington location.

Option One:  Two drop boxes are just north of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center and Theatre and Drama Center in a turnaround located on Seventh Street. Pictured at left.

Option Two: North end of the Wells Library parking lot, near Visitor Parking, as pictured at right.

REMINDER:  IU Libraries will resolve any fines or overdue fees assessed during the stay-at-home period.  Materials may be returned in the fall even if due at the current time.  Continue to renew materials electronically for the best experience through your IUCAT account.
