A Day in the Life of a Film Archivist

October 22nd 2015
Andy Uhrich

If you think librarians spend their days shelving books or answering general questions at the reference desk, guess what - many librarians' work looks nothing like that! In the IU Libraries Moving Image Archive, film archivists work to preserve and provide access to historical films, keeping alive parts of the cultural heritage that might otherwise deteriorate beyond recognition. The School of Informatics and Computing recently published a "Day in the Life" interview with Andy Uhrich, Film Archivist in IULMIA; read the interview and learn more about this fascinating and important area of librarianship.
