Glenn Horowitz founded his eponymous business in 1979, and since then has become not only one of the top dealers in rare books worldwide, but also the foremost agent in the purchase, appraisal, and sale of cultural archives to libraries and research institutions. Among the many authors, artists, and historical figures he has represented are Bob Dylan; Tom Wolfe; Gabriel García-Márquez; Alice Walker; Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein; Magnum Photos; Timothy Leary; and Erica Jong, as well as Nadine Gordimer, John Irving, Deborah Eisenberg, and John Boorman, all of whose archives have been placed at the Lilly Library.
