"The Fiery Cross made its first appearance on July 20, 1922, with Ernest W. Reichard as managing editor. Milton Elrod joined the paper in April, 1923, and assumed the title of editor-in-chief. In October, 1923, the paper was being published by the Fiery Cross Publishing Company. This Ku Klux Klan publication, which had formerly been titled the FACT, was discontinued around 1925."
