Details
About the Exhibition
2023 marks the 100-year anniversary of the invention of the 16mm motion picture film format, which introduced an affordable and convenient way for everyone to make and present films around the globe. As part of that story, Indiana University's Moving Image Archive presents a curated exhibition of dozens of beautifully made 16mm cameras and projectors that tell the story of these innovative technologies in film history.
This exhibit and the other events associated with the A Century of 16mm celebration have been generously supported by the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation, Indiana University’s Arts and Humanities Council and the IU Presidential Arts & Humanities Program, the Office of the IUB Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Research, University Collections, the Ove W. Jorgensen Foundation, and Jane M. Jorgensen & Jay O. Jorgensen.
