In 1787, the United States Constitutional Convention met to discuss the Articles of Federation and possibilities of a stronger centralized government in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following compromise and debate, a new Constitution was put forth for a vote. This led to the ratification of the document and establishment of the United States Federal government as it is today. On September 17th each year, we celebrate the signing that took place back in 1787 at the Constitutional Convention.
