CartoShop

Building on the skills we learned in the Basics of QGIS workshop, you will learn how to take a scanned historic map and overlay it on modern geography through a process called georeferencing. This will allow you to use historic maps as basemaps in your web maps, examine change over time, or digitize features from an old map. Prior experience with QGIS is highly encouraged, but not required.
