As the Senior Systems Engineer in Library Technologies, Brian Wheeler designs and implements server infrastructure to provide a secure and reliable computing environment for the Libraries’ digital collections. Brian is also heavily involved with the Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative (MDPI) project, specifically transcoding and archival storage.
With colleagues Hui Zhang, Mike Durbin, Jon Dunn, and Will Cowan, Wheeler co-authored “Faceted search for heterogeneous digital collections” in Proceedings of the 12th ACM/IEEE-CS Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (2012).
He received his B.S. in Computer Science from IU Bloomington in 1995.
