Board of Trustees project hits milestone!

June 3rd 2015
First rendering of the Indiana University seal, Board of Trustees minutes, July 21, 1841. Text reads: INDIANIENSIS UNIVERSITATIS SIGILUM. MDCCCXXX [sic]. LUX ET VERITAS

In partnership with the Indiana University Board of Trustees and the Libraries' Digital Collections Services Department, the University Archives is pleased to announce that after years of collaborative work, all typewritten Trustees minutes (1924-present day) have now been digitized and encoded using the XML-TEI guidelines which allows for full-text searching!  One of the vital records of decisions made by the University, researchers can browse or search the full text minutes at http://dlib.indiana.edu/collections/iubot/. Next steps are to transcribe and encode the handwritten minutes dating back to 1835. Until they are available online, researchers may contact the Archives for access.
