The Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center Library and City of Bloomington Safe and Civil City Program are hosting the second annual #BlackLit program during Black History Month. The event is Friday, February 10, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the NMBCC library.
#BlackLit is a commemoration of Black Literature from the past to the present. We welcome everyone from the Indiana University community, Bloomington, and surrounding areas to participate. Readers will present excerpts from their favorite books, poems, and monologues by African American writers. All are welcome to share excerpts from Black literature or present their original works. There will also be time for open discussion and reflection.
Refreshments will be provided at the event.
