The Archives of Traditional Music (ATM), an audiovisual repository that collects and documents music and culture from all over the world, is one of the largest university-based ethnographic sound archives in the United States. More than 100,000 recordings from more than 2,700 field collections cover a wide range of cultural and geographical areas, vocal and instrumental music, linguistic materials, folktales, interviews, and oral history, as well as videotapes, photographs, and manuscripts.
Your support ensures that we have the technology and the people preserve and make accessible these unique materials for folklorists, anthropologists, linguists, ethnomusicologists, and many other researchers. A gift to the Archives of Traditional Music Fund helps sustain and enhance a world-class collection.
