Affordable Course Materials and Publishing

IU Libraries Scholarly Communication Department serves the IU community by supporting the creation and publishing of scholarly work. They support – 

  • Publishing and preservation of scholarly work
  • Helping instructors create more affordable course materials
  • Providing research data management sources and help
  • Maintain Open Access policies, procedures, and assistance

Indiana University Press has been publishing significant works of scholarship since 1950 when it was founded by Herman B Wells. Not only does the press produce new books each year, it maintains over 40 journals and a back list of over 3,000 titles. IU Press maintains a handful of open access initiatives.
