Welcome to the Cook Music Library
The William and Gayle Cook Music Library supports musical performance, teaching, learning, and research at Indiana University, primarily in the Jacobs School of Music, a world-renowned center of musical excellence. The library strives to provide collections and services that lead to intellectual discovery, growth, and artistry in an accessible and welcoming environment.
Also residing at the library is the world famous Archives of Traditional Music, one of the largest university-based ethnographic sound archives in the United States. The ATM Research and Reading Room on the second floor of the Music Library provides visitor and researcher access to the irreplaceable cultural recordings held by the ATM.
