Free Book Club kits at IU's Lilly Library
Bestselling author Beverly Jenkins visits Feb. 13. You can host a DIY book club.

To celebrate the success of its far-reaching exhibition, Love in the Library, the Lilly Library will host legendary, bestselling author of historical romances, Beverly Jenkins. An author talk with pop-up library and reception will be held Feb. 13 beginning at 4:30 p.m. RSVP is required, or a livestream of the talk will be offered at 5:30 p.m.
IU Libraries is offering students, faculty, and staff a chance to pick up one of 30 boxed book club kits. Those who visit the main galleries of the Lilly Library to view the exhibition can collect these DIY book kits first come, first serve. Each kit contains four free paperback copies of the novel To Catch a Raven, Book Club question cards, and small surprises. The book club kits are designed to allow anyone to host a book club by picking up a box of four books, sharing with friends, and then discuss together after reading.
Readers may also choose to purchase a personal copy of To Catch a Raven, check it out from a local public library, or read a digital version. Discussion questions are available online for those not using the DIY book club kits.
Beverly Jenkins will sign copies of her books on Feb. 13, and all book club kit participants are invited to bring their books to Lilly Library beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 to be signed by the author.
