Your Libraries at Work
Explore the many ways we collect, preserve, and share knowledge.

We support student and faculty research with our world class collections of books, journals, rare materials, and media across all academic subjects.

We help IU researchers navigate the expanding landscape of open scholarship to make your scholarly work more widely and freely available to other researchers.

We curate subject-specific research guides and assist researchers of all experience levels as they engage with our collections.
The spring semester is a time of looking forward to the finishing of ambitious projects, award and graduate school applications, and some of our best campus traditions. Now is also the time to consider how the summer months can help you reach your next academic goal – know that we are still, and always, here to help. Congratulations to each of you on your individual successes.

IU Day: Help IU Archives Digitize the IDS
Last year on IU Day, we set out with a goal of digitizing a single decade of the IDS from the 1950s. The response on IU Day and beyond allowed us to expand our goal, and we were able to digitize 1949-1973. We appreciate everyone who supported us last year!
We currently have April 1973 through April 1983 prepped and ready to be digitized. For IU Day, we are raising money to send them out to a large-scale digitizing company. With a cost of one dollar per page, our goal is to digitize the IDS in its entirety. Your support will make a huge impact in preserving IU’s storied history. How many pages of the IDS will you help digitize?
